These unique toothbrushes are made from sustainably-sourced, compostable bamboo that regrows in a fraction of the time a tree would. The bristles are nylon-6 because it has a lower hardness (which is good for your teeth) and a lower water absorption (which is good for keeping your brush hygienic) compared to other types of nylon. It’s a strong, durable and hygienic synthetic material made from DuPont, the first major manufacturer of nylon bristles with over 70 years of experience. All our toothbrushes are soft-grade bristles, as is recommended by the ADA.
After about three months of use, just use small plyers to remove the bristles. Toss the used bristles into your bagged garbage and compost the handle!
HOW YOU GIVE BACK
Our toothbrushes are supplied by the Humble Smile Foundation who deliver a growing number of oral health outreach projects across the globe, funded by the sales of these toothbrushes to help keep smiles on the faces of kids that live in the most vulnerable areas around the world. These children typically have no means to care for their oral health because the dental clinic is too far away or they don’t have toothpaste and a toothbrush. What they do have is an increasingly sugary diet with a common result of pain, tooth loss, missing school, disability, and impaired psychological and physical development.
The Humble Smile Foundation currently have active projects in: India, Ethiopia, Nepal, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Cambodia, Transylvania, Cuba, Burkina Faso, Jamaica, Romania, Sri Lanka, Zambia, South Africa, Uganda, Cameroon, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Ivory Coast and Tanzania.
Every toothbrush sold helps these projects go a little further.
